Garment manufacturers in Cambodia have reportedly received criticism after asking for the country's US$190 monthly minimum wage for garment workers to be suspended for the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ken Loo - secretary-general of the Garment Manufacturing Association in Cambodia (GMAC) - said the suspension would help to keep the sector competitive at a time when it is being damaged by the coronavirus crisis. The request was met with criticism, as EcoTextile News reports.
