Increasing the minimum wage to $180 is only the first stage. The program’s second stage, from 2021, will be an increase to $225. Stage three will take the minimum wage to $250 in 2021.

According to previous 112 UA reporting, Maksym Stepanov - the Minister of Health of Ukraine - believes that the current salary rate for doctors is unacceptable. The minister has gone on the record to say that doctors should be paid at least $700-800 per month.

"I believe that the minimum wage for a doctor should start from $700-800 - as long as we want to have professional doctors with decent working conditions - and then we will be able to demand that they treat us well," Minister Stepanov said. (Link and quote via original reporting)
