Exelsys to make available the ODATA protocol

Exelsys announces that it will make available the ODATA protocol to allow users to easily explore, visualise, and present HR data

ODATA is an open protocol that provides direct access to data supported by Microsoft Excel Power View and Power Pivot that help to easily explore, visualise, and present your HR data.
Power View is an interactive data exploration, visualisation, and presentation experience that encourages intuitive ad-hoc reporting. Power View is a feature of Microsoft Excel 2013, and of Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 and 2013 as part of the SQL Server 2012 Service Pack 1 Reporting Services Add-in for Microsoft SharePoint Server Enterprise Edition.
Microsoft Power Pivot for Excel is an add-in that you can use to perform powerful data analysis in Microsoft Excel 2010, bringing self-service business intelligence to your desktop.
The ODATA connector which enables direct live access to Exelsys HR Data from tools such as PowerView and PowerPivot as well as other analytics tools, will bring a lot more freedom to our users because they will have powerful, easy-to-use data analysis tools right on their PCs, without having to go to the IT department for help.
Exelsys plans to make the ODATA connector available initially on a limited basis in May 2015 and generally available for all customers in June 2015.
