MidlandHR Claims New Partnership with Admiral Group plc

*iTrent Cloud Services Ensure HR and Payroll Best Practice at Leading UK Insurer*

Nottingham, 13 October 2015 – One of the UK’s leading insurance companies, Admiral, has chosen MidlandHR’s iTrent Cloud and Payroll Bureau Service to support its 5,500 employees across three different payrolls. The single platform for talent management, workforce planning, HR and payroll will enable the insurer to implement the latest HR and payroll best practice, whilst avoiding major hardware costs.

Richard Miles-Thorne, Deputy Head of People Services, Admiral Group plc, explains: “Choosing MidlandHR’s iTrent Cloud Services made perfect sense to us. Partnering with MidlandHR will allow us to focus on our strategic HR priorities, which are our people and our culture, and ensure peace of mind regarding concerns such as legislative compliance or potential infrastructure issues. Outsourcing elements of our payroll process, including BACS payments and reporting accountabilities, to MidlandHR will also reduce the administrative burden.

The Group will use MidlandHR’s iTrent for all of its HR and payroll requirements, rolling out electronic payslips, absence management, performance management and self-service functionality to automate a number of previously paper-based processes. Employees will be able to use self-service for tasks such as updating personnel data or requesting holidays whilst management will benefit from easy access to fast, accurate data, including organisational charts and dashboards.

Miles-Thorne continues: “Previously, when we needed specific people-related data, it wasn’t as easily accessible or as timely as we would like. iTrent’s retrospective functionality means any back-dated changes are automatically handled, and its ‘real-time’ reporting will really change how we are able to view our people-related information to improve our planning and overall efficiency.

“Cloud services also have the advantage of being able to be up and running in an extremely short timeframe. With testing taking place in October, the plan is to be going live at the beginning of January.”

Matthew Jenkins, Chief Operating Officer at MidlandHR, comments: “More and more of the UK’s leading insurance and financial organisations are looking towards cloud services to enable them to have access to the latest best-of-breed technology, whilst removing the risks and costs associated with investing in, and having to maintain, an on premise system.”
